Resources Creator Toolkit

Resources

A lightweight toolkit for creators: disclosure examples, content checklists, and link hygiene tips. These are general guidelines — individual programs may require additional wording or placement.

Disclosure templates (examples)

Use simple, readable language. The goal is clarity — not legal complexity.

Link hygiene checklist

Small details make reporting and troubleshooting easier.

  • Use only the approved link(s) provided for the campaign.
  • Do not remove or overwrite tracking parameters.
  • Keep link placement consistent (bio, description, pinned comment) and avoid spammy repetition.
  • Use clear callouts: what it is, why you recommend it, who it’s for.
If you’re unsure about allowed placements (e.g., paid boosts), ask first.

Common compliance gotchas

These are frequent reasons affiliate programs pause or reject traffic. Avoid them early.

Keep it readable. Avoid burying disclosure behind “more” truncation when possible. If your platform supports it, place disclosure near the top of the caption/description.
Promote products honestly and in context. If you’re unsure about a claim, remove it or verify it first.
Some programs allow link shorteners; others don’t. Use only what is approved for the specific campaign.
